Chapter 6

The dispensations reported in Scripture

2Peter 3:10 reveals that “the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up” when God’s education of “the principalities and powers in the heavenlies” is finally complete. The reason for that final destruction is that all those temporary and disposable educational tools are no longer needed simply because God’s Purpose- For-Creation has been completely fulfilled as divinely “predestined from the foundation of the world.”

Please be aware that the position of 2Peter 3:10 in proximity with verse 3:9 does NOT imply that the destruction of Creation happens immediately after “the CHURCH” has been completely populated and ultimately “resurrected.” As a matter of fact, the “resurrection of the church” merely introduces the next dispensation of God’s Purpose-For-Creation.

Every Christian must recognize that the division of Scripture into “The Old Testament” and “The New Testament” was a naming technique developed by wisdom deficient humans who were divinely precluded from knowing the implications of what they were doing. That unfortunate naming decision made by wisdom deficient humans has resulted in a conflicted “understanding” between theologians who emphasize either a “Dispensational” or a “Covenant” interpretation of Scripture. The reality is that there are at least eight (8) distinct dispensations within God’s Purpose-For-Creation and each of those dispensations contains a particular covenant made by God. Perhaps there are more than eight dispensations and eight covenants.

Despite the number of dispensations God has described in His inspired Words, all of God’s Creation is scheduled for utter destruction as reported in 2Peter 3:10.
